Unapologetically beautiful in her own right.
It took me a long time to see my flaws as beauty. I was often teased and tormented for being who I was. I cried myself to sleep many nights. I depended on others to tell me I was beautiful. I depended on them to make me feel like I was something. I was empty. I was lost. I was confused… I read this Book, “The Way It Is” By Patrick Sanchez when I was about 16. I woke up. This book gave me a lot of hope. It taught me that confidence can shine in all people no matter what Size, skin tone, etc. Now at 27, I’m that same gap-toothed, over weight, black female that I was then. Now I’m alive. I’m confident and I’m carefree. This is me… #thisiswhatdepressionlookslike
